Assistant Archdeacon
- Prior to ordination Robert qualified as a civil engineer following which he had a career in commercial property leading urban redevelopment projects.
- He was ordained deacon in 2000 in the Diocese of Guildford.
- Following ordination, he served his title at Weybridge and was then Rector of Cobham and Stoke D’Abernon from 2004 to January 2017.
- He was Rural Dean of Leatherhead for seven years.
- He sits on the Bishop’s Advisory Panel (BAP) and was commissioned as Assistant Archdeacon in September 2017.
- A priority in Robert’s ministry is the encouragement of vocations, lay and ordained. He sees the response to God’s call as key to both personal growth and the flourishing of parishes.
- He is a strong advocate of collaborative ministry and team working, both within and between parishes.
