Youth workers from a wide variety of churches across Guildford are about to put on a joint Alpha Course in the town.
Youth Alpha explores life, faith, and meaning. Each session will look at a different question around faith. The plan is to create conversation through videos and small group discussions.
The five-week course kicks off at 6.30pm on Thursday February 24 at Guildford Baptist Church.
“We will start with a social time and dinner, games and a chance to hang out,” says Sarah-Louise Morton, Youth Worker at Emmanuel Church Stoughton. “Then we’ll move to discuss in small groups. It is going to be very open, engaging and high energy,” she says.
“All the Church Youth workers in Guildford are passionate about seeing young people reached with the message of Jesus. We have been meeting together for years and have run some social events together - called Untamed – but we are excited for this new opportunity after Covid."
“It’s not too late to get involved,” says Sarah. “Churches are asked to advertise the course, invite their young people to come along and get involved.”
