Energy Footprint Tool is launched for 2026

The Energy Footprint Tool (EFT) is now open for 2026. Completing the EFT is an important step on our shared journey to net zero and caring for God’s creation. Each year’s data builds a clearer picture of carbon use and helps us act more strategically together.

By filling in your EFT, you enable your church to make targeted decisions to reduce your carbon footprint and possibly reduce energy costs. The EFT also helps influence how national net zero funding is allocated and how parishes can access that funding and support. The data also contributes to understanding how the Church of England is progressing towards the net zero 2030 committment.

The form usually takes less than an hour to complete by anyone who has access to your church’s energy bills.

The EFT is open until June 30th but we are encouraging parishes to submit the data by the week after Easter which will enable more time to assess if there is national grant funding which you may be eligible for.

If you have any questions about EFT or environmental and net zero action, please contact Alison or Martin in our net zero team.
