In a recent story on SurreyLive a family celebrated five generations attending the same school. An amazing feat and testament to the continued excellence of the school and investment in its pupils.
Puttenham Church of England Infant School has been at the heart of the beautiful village same name for over a little over a century, with the first of the five generations from the family attending shortly after it opened. The school’s mission is “to provide the best possible education for all its children in a caring and happy Christian community.” With just over 90 pupils, aged 4 to 7, the school invests in each child enabling them to succeed by recognising and celebrating their strengths as a community.
Alex Tear, the Diocesan Director of Education said:
“Puttenham CE Infant school has faithfully served children and families from the local village community and beyond for over 100 years. It continues to be a popular, successful Church school which offers excellent education within a strong framework of Christian values.
"We are very pleased to have Puttenham Infants as part of our family of 83 Church schools across the diocese and are proud of its history. We look forward to seeing the school continue to develop in the future and hope that many more children are able to experience the wonderful learning opportunities that the school offers.”
