Hymn writer, author, theologian and priest, Revd Professor Maggi Dawn, will be speaking on the subject of "More than words can say: Reading theology through literature and arts" at our next Theology Hub.
We will yet again be partnering with our friends at Guildford Cathedral on Thursday 2 May to hold the Theology Hub in the Lady Chapel. Starting at 7pm, the session will be delving into the theme of Theology and the Arts.
The Theology Hub is a space for theologians and the theologically curious to go deeper and be academically fed. It's for those who are just interested, have spent years studying and everyone in between.
Maggi comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience. She has taught at Cambridge, Yale and, until recently, was Principal of St Mary's College, Durham. Alongside her educational accolades, she has also written numerous books and columns for a number of media outlets, including The Guardian.
Alison, who attended a previous Theology Hub, said, "“I really enjoyed the evening with Professor David Ford - he opened up John's gospel in such an inspiring and meaningful way - I could have listened to him for hours! My only criticism was that it wasn't long enough - I would have liked a full day! I look forward to more in the future.”
