The Parish of Cove in Farnborough has been encouraged to see an unintentional ministry grow out of its coffee afternoon on a Wednesday.
The Footprints Café is intended for anyone to pop along to and has seen a steady attendance of mainly older people and some mums of little ones, as it runs over the school pick-up time. However, a small but committed group of young people from the local secondary school had also been attending.
The team at Cove then established a youth group to run alongside the Footprints Café to give the young people a safe space to explore the Christian faith.
Associate Rector, Revd Phil Richardson, shares more on this encouraging ministry in the video below. And since recording the video the youth group has grown from a small group to 15-20 young people coming on a regular basis.
