50% of churches in Diocese of Guildford have eco stamp of approval

Half of the churches in the Diocese of Guildford have received an Eco Church award (in the bronze, silver or gold categories) which cements the Diocese’s position as one of the leading lights in creation care.

VE Day- How did our churches mark the end of the war?

News that the war had finally ended was met with jubilation, with millions taking to the streets to celebrate. What was also clear looking through archive material held in the Surrey History Centre, was the important role the church played throughout this period.
