Web Forum
An online web forum will open on Monday 28th April to enable electors to put questions to all canduidates and see their answers.
The notes below set out how the forum will run:
- The forum will be moderated to avoid the possibility of inappropriate material being placed on the website
- The forum will be in action from 28th April (the day ballot papers are issued) until 19th May (the day voting closes)
- Only eligible clergy electors may submit questions, to which all clergy candidates will be invited to respond
- Each eligible voter can submit one question
- Within 24 hours during the working week any questions received will be sent by email to all candidates. After 48 hours all answers received will be posted, with the question, here on the diocesan website
- Questions must be questions, not statements of the elector's view, or against the views of others. Both questions and answers should respect the views of others and should not be personal
- Questions are limited to 50 words; answers are limited to 200 words. This reflects the limits a chairperson would put on questions and answers at a hustings meeting.
Any eligible voter can submit a question to synod@cofeguildford.org.uk but no question will beforwarded to the candidates until Monday 28th April.
If you require further information, please be in contact at synod@cofeguildford.org.uk
