See it. Hear it. Report it.

In the Diocese of Guildford, we are committed to achieving the best possible standards of safeguarding so that everyone, especially the most vulnerable, feel safe in our churches.

We have created a communications campaign to provide all the worshipping communities in the diocese with digital assets, posters and information cards to help you communicate to your congregations and communities that everyone can be vigilant in identifying the signs of abuse and reporting safeguarding concerns.

About the campaign

The campaign will be centred around the memorable slogan See it. Hear it. Report it.

These three behaviours act as a clear call to action for everyone in your church to report a safeguarding risk if they see or hear anything of concern.

While the Parish Safeguarding Officers and Diocesan Safeguarding Team have the core role in safeguarding our communities, abuse can happen at any time and anywhere, so it’s vital that more people feel informed when it comes to spotting safeguarding concerns, and know how to report and access support.

You can register to receive the digital assets which can be edited to add in your church logo, as well as link through to your safeguarding page via a QR code. The A3 poster assets can  be printed and displayed in your church building or at relevant community events, and the information card (business card size) is designed to be a discrete way of people obtaining information about local abuse support services.
