As we mark Race Equality Week and Racial Justice Sunday, St Paul's Addlestone is a great example of a church that has embraced and celebrated the growing diversity in the area and in the congregation. The church has people from a wide range of backgrounds and nationalities represented at every level of church life, including the PCC, youth ministry and leading worship teams. Joint vicars Ben and Chris Beecroft say that their approach to building an intercultural church is rooted in the belief that we are all made in God's image.
The church will often host international evenings where people are encouraged to cook and share dishes from their home countries. This helps create a sense of belonging and inclusion in this diverse church. Read more about the church's international events.
