E-Learning Coordinator

Full-time, Fixed Term (2 years) with the possibility of extension

Salary:

£28,390 - £30,960pa

Description:

The Diocese of Guildford is looking for a dynamic E-Learning Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). If you are excited about maximising the benefits of e-learning and supporting both students and staff, we would love to hear from you.

Our Foundations in Ministry (FiM) Programme is our flagship lay leadership development programme and has been the pilot for the courses developed on the VLE.

The Coordinator will be responsible for uploading materials and content for the FIM programme and connecting with the FiM participants ensuring they can access the material that they need. A key part of the role is to uphold a user-friendly interface for students, tutors, and content providers. Where applicable, the role will also require the ability to upskill and/or train Diocesan staff on using the platform.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience of VLE systems administration and user support.
  • Experience of working in a team to deliver educational outcomes
  • Experience of guiding students and staff in learning technologies
  • Have excellent IT skills appropriate for creating and maintaining a VLE.
  • Understand adult learning principles.
  • The ability to handle queries from a wide range of people, especially able to help and support those who may be new to on-line learning.
  • Be fully supportive of the aims and mission of the Church of England.
