HR Coordinator

Part-time (17.5 hrs per week) Fixed term (12 months)

Salary:

28,390 - 30,960pa (FTE)

Description:

The Diocese of Guildford has a great opportunity for a part-time HR Coordinator to join our dynamic People team to grow and develop their HR career. The HR Coordinator provides comprehensive and professional HR and administrative and coordination support, collaborating closely with our staff, clergy, and parishes. 

Some of the key responsibilities of the HR Coordinator are: 

  • Provide HR administrative and coordination support across all aspects of the People Team 

  • Deal with day-to-day staff queries related to leave, pay, benefits and HR policies and procedures. 

  • Working closely with the HR Partner to coordinate recruitment processes 

  • Provide guidance and support to clergy and parishes on HR-related queries, ensuring swift and timely responses, referring to the HR Partner for more complex queries. 

  • Assist the HR Partner in maintaining the HR information system. 

  • Support the Director of People and Safeguarding (DPS) in the implementation of HR projects. 

  • Support the DPS in staff communication and staff meetings and events.

The ideal candidate will:  

  • Be CIPD level 3 qualified or in the process of working towards your CIPD qualification. 

  • Relevant HR experience working in a professional environment such as legal services or a charity/public sector organisation. 

  • Experience of managing end-to-end recruitment processes 

  • Have strong planning and organisational skills. 

  • Be a clear communicator, with good written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Be fully supportive of the aims and mission of the Church of England.
