Description:

The Diocese of Guildford is looking for a dedicated and creative Production Lead to join our new Youth Catalyst Project Team. The Production Lead will provide audio-visual technical support to enhance the worship experience and digital discipleship of young people.

The Youth Catalyst Project is a bold programme which seeks to enhance youth ministry by working with and in schools and churches across the Diocese of Guildford to double the amount of young people in faith by 2030.

Some of the Key Responsibilities include:

  • Training and developing young people in Audio Visual Production skills.
  • To work as part of the Team to deliver safe high-quality worship and training events that establish and deepen the faith of young people.
  • To provide effective technical support for worship gatherings and other Youth Catalyst events, utilising effective audio-visual skills to create effective worshipping environments for young people paying attention to sound, lighting and seating.
  • Play a key role in the research and purchasing and maintenance of project equipment.
  • To support worship in the schools alongside the rest of the Gathering and Social Media Team and under the leadership of the Pioneering School Chaplain.
  • To be a key resource as part of the Gathering and Social Media Team for Hub leaders and diocesan youth leaders in the planning, promotion and delivery of mission weeks in schools and towns across the diocese.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience of running AV within a church setting.
  • Experience in missional youth ministry.
  • Proficiency in operating sound boards, lighting systems, multimedia software, and live streaming equipment.
  • Have a broad awareness of trends in youth culture.
  • Have a good understanding of principles and practices of effective youth ministry.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding practices.

The successful candidate will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have their own vehicle as this position will require some travel around the diocese from time to time.
