Priest in Charge | Dunsfold and Hascombe

Created: 10th July 2024 at 14:32

Description:

We seek a priest of prayer and spiritual insight, with enthusiasm for village life, to serve these two rural parishes.

The thriving communities are set in a beautiful part of the Surrey Hills.  There is a wide range of residents including farmers, retired people, commuters and children.

Each village has a church of historic interest (Grade 1 & 2*) and the church communities in both are active in village life and outreach.

There is a well appointed rectory with a good sized garden opposite the church in Dunsfold.

We are seeking:

  • Someone with a strong Christian faith
  • A sensitive person who can conduct several different styles of services
  • A good communicator, able to inspire and engage all age groups
  • A provider of pastoral care in different settings in our two villages
  • Someone to foster a sense of community, both in the church and in the wider world
  • A person able to listen sympathetically and with a sense of humour.

We are committed to the Guildford Clergy Wellbeing Covenant.

Please see the Parish Profile below for full details.  If you would like to have an informal conversation please contact the Archdeacon of Surrey at catharine.mabuza@cofeguildford.org.uk
